On Campus MLIS
Master of Library and Information Studies
This program is accredited by the American Library Association (ALA), and allows students to pursue a course-based or thesis-based degree on a full-time or part-time basis.
Online MLIS (Fall 2013)
Master of Library and Information Studies
This ALA-accredited MLIS program can be completed entirely online and is ideal for students interested in distance-learning.
MA/MLIS
Combined Master of Arts in Humanities Computing / Master of Library & Information Studies Program
In this inter-faculty joint degree program, students may complete the MLIS degree in conjunction with the Master of Arts in
Humanities Computing. This is a thesis-based degree program, which typically extends over three years of full-time study.
MBA/MLIS
Program approved and currently in development.
Online MEd in Curriculum and Pedagogy (Teacher-Librarianship Focus)
Master of Education in Curriculum and Pedagogy
This program provides advanced study in teacher-librarianship from kindergarten to grade twelve. It prepares teachers for work at the school or district level and is designed for individuals who intend to provide leadership in their school and within school systems. The program can be completed entirely online.

The Master of Arts in
Humanities Computing is a thesis-based degree program offered through the
Faculty of Arts.
Ph.D.
Interdisciplinary
Individuals may pursue a Ph.D. at SLIS in conjunction with another department on campus that has an established Ph.D. program.
